I've been living in Cali for one year and have a great apartment for rent in the best location in Cali. I'm going to be traveling myself for one week at some point in June or July and will rent the apartment out during that time. If you interested in renting the apartment during that time period please contact me since I can coordinate my travel dates with yours.
The apartment is located on Avenida 9N (cross street Calle 10). For those of you who don't know Cali, it is located in the heart of Granada which is the very best area for the high-end restaurants, bars and clubs in Cali. You can also walk to the heart of Avenida Sexta (the main street in Cali but which is more seedier than upscale Granada) which is located just two blocks away.
The apartment is in a new apartment building which contains six apartments. It is located on the highest floor with a view of the mountains. Across the street is Serafina which is Cali's highest-end bar / club (the best place to see the truly beautiful Calenas). All of the very best restaurants in Cali (for e.g. Passion, Platillos Voladores, Grenada Faro, Galleria Fernandez, Carambolo, Faro 2004 etc etc) are all within a 3 block radius.
The 125 sq. meter apartment is brand-new inside with marble floors and has 3 bedrooms (one with a king-bed; the other two with queen beds) and 3 bathrooms (plus a maids quarters in the back with a single bed / bathroom that no one has ever used), 4 TVs with cable (there's one TV in each bedroom and one in the main living room), dedicated high-speed wireless internet access (I have my own 1 mb/s internet line for work purposes), fully-equiped kitchen (large fridge, microwave, blender and everything that you need to cook since I love cooking), washing machine, DVD player (with a DVD collection of approximately 70 recently-released movies), a pumping stereo, and fans in each room (I'm addicted to air-conditioning but you simply don't need it in this apartment since it has cool breezes all the time (there's windows on both sides of the apartment). In fact, I often close the windows since I'm too cold (and I'm the type of person who typically dies without air-conditioning). All of the furniture is modern and was purchased new by me when I moved to Cali one year ago.
The apartment has a secure covered parking space under the building with an electronic apartment door opener. I don't have a car so the space is available for your use (in fact, several of my neighbors don't have cars either so there is probably more than one space available for use).
There are pictures available to anyone who is genuinely interested. I'll rent it for US $490 for one week. This price includes my maid who cooks / cleans four hours per day (she is a great cook and will cook whatever you want). This price is a complete bargain compared to other properties. There is a hotel (Casa de Alfarez) located immediately next door to me which charges $130 US per night plus tax. I will also require a $250 fully-refundable security deposit. Payment can be made in cash or via Paypal.
The immediate area is completely safe but there is also added security for the building. There is a video phone in the kitchen which you use to identify and buzz-in anyone at the front-door to the complex. I like the video-phone since I don't need to deal with nosey guards seeing who comes and goes from my apartment.
If interested, please send me an e-mail to gerry06 at gmail.com or call me on my U.S. number (408-540-6246) which rings through to me in Colombia.
Thanks,
Gerry
p.s. Just for clarification, I'm not associated with Arthur Brode's post below regarding calirentals.net. I am renting this apartment directly.
