Moderation

I just deleted the account of "Parce", because of repeated breaking of the rules. I don't do this often, but this guy was a troll. This also means that ALL his post from the past have been deleted automatically. Me and the moderators are discussing ways to act quicker next time. Thanks for listening! I apologize it took so long! I was away from email for a while. I am also working to give the moderators more power. Thanks to everyone for discussing and handling this so well! In any online community, there will be trolls. My moderators did a good job, but didn't have the power to stop him (which I'll fix soon), and I was away. Anyways, I think the way you guys handled it reflects really positively on this community.

Hi peter,
I agree he was offensive, but then some people don´t know how to have a conversation without those words.
Best,
LaloG

why if parce comes back with another nick, from another pc?..I was ashamed because there were two people who I recommeded the site..and I wanted to excused..

Anyway, good idea to give moderators more power or let them know your cell phone, Peter.

Sure they will come back a few times, anyway. There is enough strength and patience on this board to wait for the axe to drop on the imbeciles. When I ran another board a few years ago, we were deleting accounts to the tune of about 3 per day. they just got bored, because most people quit posting on their stupid strings.

If it looks idiotic, I might still post giving the author the benefit of doubt the first time. after two or three, I will ignore his posts and wait for Peter to boot him.

I have to behave myself. Angelica arrives in 2 days, and I dont want her to see all my underwear posts.

some try to come back depending on your logging of members you can sometimes register their IPs, so you can see the origin and block the IP. swapping PCs can help, but you can trace the location and delete then. eventually they run out of PCs or get bored.

Only problem is Lionheart if other users come from the same
gateway then you ban a bunch of people ;-)

I was just thinking can you grab a MAC-adress ..... just wondering ;-)

even better ... let them complain then they will find out about one bad apple in their crate

I don't know yet what sophistication is possible here.

he he ... I'll ask a couple of friends might come in handy for
projects like this if I can convince them to throw a little effort in that direction.
