Moderate Priced Hotel Near the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores

Does anyone have some recommendations for a moderate priced hotel near the Exterior Relations Ministry?

I'm looking for something clean that also accepts credit cards.

Suite Chico Calle 101 No 13A 23 tel 620 53 63......10 mins walk to Exterior Relations and 3 mins from DAS.......but moderate price..I could not find anything around there for less than 190,000 per night....and full...Suite Chico is always nearly full so best arrange something before you go..it used to be around 80,000 per night..but hotel prices have seemed to have shot up over the past two years in Bogota......

Ask at the information desk for a list of hotels when you get to bogota. I don't know about the airport but at the bus station there is an information desk there. Just call a couple when you get there and remember hotel prices can be negociated. I also asked the cab driver and he took me to a hotel in centro that was close to the ministerio and the superintendencia notaria. They wanted 70.000 a night but I got them down to 55.000 a night. It was easy, I told them I already had a reservation at another hotel for 60.000 a night and I proceded to walk out the door and they stopped me at the last moment and lowered their price.

I don't remember the name of the hotel. It was decent with a clean room, carpeted, queen size bed and hot water.
