MOBILE BROADBAND

I do not know if you are aware that in UK there are offer for FREE LAPTOP if you join £20 - £30 a month for at least 2 years contract for Mobile Broadband.

Do they have this similar services in Colombia?

I am giving my laptop to my girlfriend, but if they offer similar services as UK, I would rather her have a new one... otherwise she can have my laptop for now....

Arthur, It must be 'new' when you signed up last November. Next November would probably be 60k or cheaper unless more powerful thing comes........

I bought an 'Advent' laptop for £1,200 in 2002. It was powerful then, but it is a laughing stock today! Bought compaq laptop for £700 last year (far better than when I bought the Advent) but today's £350 laptop is better than that Compaq!!! cannot win!! lol

My prometida will get my Compaq... but who will want the Advent ones? lol

I use a 3G USB modem from Comcel, It says max speed 1.4mbps but I regularly get over 2mbps, you just need to use a downloader program that downloads a file in multiple segments, there are tons. I use it in pre-paid service, 115.000/month. Unlimited. I regularly download > 5gb per day. It works in all major cities, most towns, and some rural areas.
