Missing Colombia During The Holidays

I am now back in the states after 18 months in Bogota. Before I left Colombia I was really eager to get back to states. I missed my friends and my family. But now that I am back and I look back at my time in Colombia. I really miss it. I miss everything that I took for granted especially now that the holidays are right around the corner. I will miss "La Noche de Las Velitas", las Novenas with friends and family with buñuelos and natilla. I will also miss taking a drive through the city at night to appreciate the beautiful Christmas decorations/lights especially from Monserrate. I hope that one day I will be able to go back if my financial means allow. Colombia will always be in my heart.

I understand you 100%, I lived in Bogota most of my teens and I left December 16, 1987, and I have not been back since then, 20 years later I still think those wonderful years I lived there and miss all you said, the day I get back to Bogota I will not recognize the city, it has changed so much.

Wow man at least you didnt live in Medellin. El guayabo would be even worse man. lol Bogota is cool pero Medallio is a drug.

Anyways reach out to other colombians or people who think similarly to you wherever you are. I have the novena, la natilla, los biyancicos, and eveything else. including guaro, ron, y baile ventiao papa.
