Didn't you watch the show? It was the delivery of her answer, she didn't sound at all sure of what she was saying, perhaps if she was speaking Spanish her fluency would have been better, I don't know. I am not saying her English was bad, but we are generally more confident in our own language. I just felt Venezuela edged her out in her confident delivery.

Venezuela looks like a fashion model, striking features, well defined jawline, and can pull a wide range of looks. Colombia IMO is a gorgeous woman, natural beauty very girl next door but not the kind of girl who would make it Gisele Bundchen big. It was pretty obvious to me that venezuela was going to win, she looks perfect for a Cavalli campaign (Cavalli was one of the judges).

There is some truth to what you say morphus. The Latinas are very beautiful but they generally tend to be triguenas...well black or dark hair with a tanned color skin. The girls from the Dominican Republic hardly represent the woman of the DR who are mostly BLACK. The woman of Peru and Bolivia tend to be Inca indian yet you get this same contestant every year who is as I mentioned above.

I wonder if Venezuela has ever sent a black woman to the Miss Universe pagaent because they have them in their national pageants.

The Colombian gal scored higher than Venezuela on swimsuit and evening gown and I thought had it won. Then they mentioned that the judges had spent time scoring on other aspects earlier.

Speaking of Donald Trump Sr., that guy knows how to work the media that is for sure.

Next year they will do it all over again.

El periodista Diego León Giraldo, que cubrió Miss Universo durante varios años, aseguró que quizás la inseguridad con la que respondió Taliana le quitó la corona e inclusive afirma que, de no haber sido por su paso firme en el escenario, las cosas hubieran podido ser peores porque el vestido no le favorecía mucho.

"Creo que tuvo mucho que ver la inseguridad al responder, algo que evidentemente no es Taliana, pues todos sabemos justamente de su profundidad y bagaje", dice.

Los más cercanos a ella se niegan a aceptar la decisión y aseguran que "le robaron el título".
