America tiene mucho mas jerarquia, por la categoria de sus jugadores. El paraguayo Cabañas, un goleador barbaro. Los argentinos Castroman e Insua que vienen del futbol europeo (Lazio y Liverpool respectivamente) y tienen mucha experiencia. Esta el chileno Rojas en la defensa, y uno de los goleadores de Uruguay, Hernan Lopez. Ademas cuentan con jugadores de la talla de Villa, Iñigo, Davino. Bueno lo demostró ayer en el partido.

Va estar dificil para Millonarios. Me gusta muchisimo como juega Gerardo Bedoya. Tiene una garra impresionante (huevos como decimos aca). Lo vi jugar en Buenos Aires (en Racing Club), y la verdad que es un jugadorazo. Pero él solo no puede hacer todo, y encima es defensor. Si tuvieran un par mas al estilo Bedoya, que encima se lesionó, tal vez podrian dar la hazaña de ganar en Mexico. El uruguayo Tejera era muy buen jugador, de hecho jugó en Boca Juniors, pero bueno parece que se le pasaron los años. El otro para rescatar es Mosquera, pero tambien es defensor. El tecnico es Vanemerak...hacia años que no sabia nada de él. El jugó en Millo en los 80, creo. Pero nunca mas anduvo por aca. Era muy buen jugador. Es bueno saber de él. Ojala que le vaya bien. Aunque del otro lado esta Brailowsky, que fue goleador de mi equipo en los 80 y luego se fue a Mexico e Israel.

Ahora, si mal no recuerdo, Millo debió haber jugado con River, y America con Arsenal. Pero parece que hay un reglamento que impide que dos equipos de un mismo pais jueguen la final, y por eso los hicieron jugar con America de Mexico. Y a River con Arsenal. Algo absurdo. Bueno no me sorprende, si tomamos en cuenta que es una Copa Sudamericana...y jugaron equipos de Mexico y USA. Ellos tienen su propia Copa Concacaf. El que hizo el reglamento se ve que estaba con una alta dosis de acidos, "zumbidos" y "cristales"...

Bueno Boca y River son invitados porque son los dos equipos mas grandes de Sudamerica. Y como esta copa es un negocio, (un invento) sin ellos dos...seria muy devaluada. Y asi paso con Bedoya en Racing, con Giovani Hernandez y Freddy Grisales en Colon, Angel y Yepes en River, Arzuaga en Godoy Cruz...etc, etc, etc.

Como sea, los cuatro directores tecnicos son argentinos, y cualquiera de ellos que gane, me sentire bien, porque hay un argentino alli. Comentario al margen, ayer River empato 0 a 0 con Arsenal. En River juega Radamel Falcao y en Arsenal Josimar Mosquera. La de patadas que se dieron...Mosquera le hizo marcación a Falcao, y éste se defendia con codazos. Que va a ser...lo primero es el equipo...despues el pais. Por algo son profesionales.

I don't know about any other cities in Colombia, but here in Medellin people are really proud of Atletico Nacional and rarely would you see any Nacional fan supporting America de Cali, Gallinarios, Dep. Culo and Sarna Fe. It's more likely that a Nacional fan would root for city rivals (DIM)before rooting for a rolo team or a valluno team.
Lucas I'm not saying anything bad about Argentinans if thats what your getting at... our team has 2 Argentinans Oscar Quintabani and Sergio Galvan Rey... also some of our idols are Zubeldia, Navarro and Huguito Morales. The thing with Vanemerak is that along with Pimentel they have been 2 of the most hated opposition players by Nacional fans, thats all.

parce me crie en medallo. vive en envigado, laureles, despues fui a calasanz y antes de volver a nueva york vivi en el poblado. accepto y entiendo que en medellin y por lo general en antioquia entera hay mucho regionalismo. i dont know if you recall but late 80's early 90's there was a big movement that wanted antioquia to govern itself as a country. hubo un tiempo en el que en los partidos del verde se cantaba solo el himno de antioquia y silbaban tanto el nacional que hasta lo quitaron varias veces. I remember that very clearly.

But im not 15 or 21 years old anymore unfortunately. Cuando uno madura y aprecia el futbol uno entiendo muchas cosas. Ahora vivo en New York y aunque no me gusta los Red Bulls ahi juega Juan Pablo Angel entonces los apoyo. Im a die hard Nacional Fan. I have pictures and autographs with Higuita, Andres, Leonel, Chontico, Villa, Galeano, Trellez, Alexis Garcia, Aristi, usuriaga, y muchos mas.

Pero al final del dia cuando Millonarios juega contra un equipo mexicano yo quiero que los mios triunfen. Los mios son los de mi tierra. Porque yo se que en bogota hay mucha gente buena. acabo de pasar un berraco invierno que dejo a mucha gente de bajos espiritos y mas pobres que nunca. y vea que me enpute cuando el millos elimino al verde. claro que nacional y millos se dedicaron a las patadas cuando jugaron en bogota. pero olvidemonos de lo que pudo y no pudo haber pasado.

It's not a question about being patriotic or not, go to a game between a team from Bogota and teams from Medellin, Cali and you'll hear millonarios fans singing about "putos provincianos" "traquetos" etc. Go to a game in Cali and you'll hear fans singing about "Rolivianos cagones" "Gachanarios" and "Panaderos"... go to Medellin and you'll hear "Chontaduros" and "Rolo maricon". Its all part of rivalries in football and that is the essence of football... if there was no rivalries in football who the hell would care about Real Madrid - Barcelona or Boca Jrs - River Plate?

It's obvious you been living in New York to long to know what goes on now fan wise. Most fans still don't sing the Colombian National anthem in el Atanasio, but since you live in the States I don't expect you to know that. Also the Barrismo movement in Colombia has changed a lot since the 80s and early 90s, this promoted more rivalry between fans since they copied the Barrismo used in Argentina. I am not part of Los Del Sur or anything but I have been to games with them in Cali and Bogota and it's not nice when America de Cali or Dep. Culo fans show banners saying "Paisa = Miseria" "Los Paisas Arruinaron a Colombia" or in Bogota when fans sing about us going to our "Loma putos provincianos". I realize its part of the game but then again how can you expect me to support those teams when the entire stadium is singing that stuff?
Also I never said that I hated rolos or vallunos, I said I would never support a rolo TEAM or valluno TEAM! Nacional has a lot of fans in Bogota and Cali... and like myself they are all part of the "verdolaga family".

Also its not a matter of maturity or not being patriotic. For example, if a River Plate fan doesn't support Boca Juniors in a Libertadores does that make them unpatriotic? are Independiente fans going to support Racing, River or Boca winning a Libertadores? how about in Brazil, do you think Palmeiras fans would be supporting Corinthians if they were to win a Championship? does that make them unpatriotic? Even better, would you see Red Sox fans supporting the Yankees being World Series champs? Bro, its all about rivalry and thats what makes sports in general interesting.

In Colombia last time i was there i was with my exnovia and I would make sure to watch Manchester United play every game, which was about twice a week, and football we'd watch 5-6 times. El resultado era logico. Maxime luego de que las Aguilas se pusieran en ventaja a los 6 minutos de juego. A partir de ahi Millos se desordenó, y el partido se desnaturalizó, ya que si o si Millonarios tenia que hacer 3 goles para pasar a la final, lo cual parecia imposible. El gol anulado, fue mal anulado. Pero igualmente no hubiera incidido en el resultado final. El America hizo valer la experiencia de sus hombres y su mayor jerarquia. Igualmente Millos con un jugador menos, hizo un partido muy bueno. Dejaron todo en la cancha. Pusieron ganas y fervor. Y cuando eso pasa, no importa la derrota. El hincha se va tranquilo a su casa, sabiendo que sus jugadores dejaron todo en la cancha.
Mis mas sinceras felicitaciones a Millos por haber llegado tan lejos, siendo que no esta pasando por uno de sus mejores momentos. Ademas tienen al goleador del torneo, Ciciliano con 6 goles.
Hoy juegan River y Arsenal. Creo que River va a ganar, aunque va a estar dificil, por lo aguerrido que es Arsenal.
