Mike Newell's 'Love in the Time of Cholera'

The critical consensus seems to be that it's a bit of a flop. But I watched it the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The period detail, sense of culture and cinematography were enough to keep me watching.

I read the novel last year, blissfully ignorant of the production of the film. Despite the topic not being
what I usually look for in a novel, I was much impressed. Marquez Cha-Cha!

I don´t care what the critics say, I thought it was a good movie.
Must say Javier Bardem was excellent in No Country for Old Men, one of the best movies I´ve seen in a long time.

It wasn't my favorite film by a long shot. But, I agree with what Kalder said, and it is definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

Read the book and saw the movie. The book is a classic and the movie is good, If you have ever been in Colombia you wil like both.

I have been in the building used mostly in the movie. I recognized several locations.
