Avianca has a promotion Miami to Cartagena for $199. Pretty good, their website has details http://www.avianca.com/Promociones/co/

Pete, sorry to be bothersome, but can you give me better direction. I went to the site and tried various dates and could not come up with a base price of $199 from Miami to Cartagena. Thanks.

I got the info per email: Miami to Cartagena for $199, return, leave from nov1 to nov30. Best thing is probably to call them if you can't find it on the website: 1800 AVIANCA

That is a GOOD DEAL. Post your findings. Not only that but some airlines have an embargo on excess luggage starting in mid Nov. PS: be sure and ask about luggage allotments.

You should be aware that since this is Avianca, as always there is a catch. I've called twice in the last week or so to try and buy one of these tickets, as my next trip coincides perfectly with the promotion. Or so I thought. The catch is they offer "limited seats" for the promotion, so as of now they only have availability in Dec on one day, returning Dec 4th, even though the email says you can return up to Dec 25th.
Thanks for wasting my time Avianca...

This is hardly unique to Avianca. All airlines typically have a limited amount of seats for promotional fares. I have seen this many times with Continental, Southwest, etc.
