My sister and husband are going to Puerto Vallarta en few months, is it true you have to go to the Mexican Embassy in Bogota to get a visa?

ColombianoGringo says on Apr 2, 2008, 17:59: Mexicans treat everyone South of them like shit when it comes to visas and immigration, while at the same time expecting the US to embrace the flood of illegals from Mexico. How's that for hypocrisy?

Robert Jorge says on Apr 3, 2008, 00:08: I know a Colombiana that visits the US occasionally on a tourist visa. On her last visit, she went on a cruise out of the Port of Miami and one of the stops was Cancun. She had no Mexican visa, and it was no problem for her.

Mononoke28 says on Apr 3, 2008, 11:32: It's not that Mexico treats everyone south of them like shit because they want to, it's mainly because their country is treated like the trampoline for everyone else to get to the States. It's not good for their relationship with the US. Now back in the 80s, it was the easiest thing to get. Heck, that's how my family and I got here in the first place. Can't blame them for shutting down their doors. Diana |

ColombianoGringo says on Apr 3, 2008, 11:42: It isn't just the official policies that are a problem. Their entire system from the national government to local administrators and police is extremely corrupt and at all levels, there is complicity with the illegal alien industry.

|
Monpirri says on Apr 3, 2008, 11:47: As Simon said, they want to take credit for everything in which Colombia excels and to exacerbate the matter, they buy out big national companies and then after the transfer of ownership they hijack the prices and provide a poor service, and now they want to suit Colombia. Annette Taddeo for US Congress 2008 |

ColombianoGringo says on Apr 3, 2008, 11:51: It's really a shame that Mexico has gone so far downhill. The border is unbelievably dangerous and Mexico City is almost as bad. As a kid, I would walk around the city by myself and even ride the Metro around. However, these days I would be very cautious and feel a lot safer in most Colombian cities. Sadly, the reasons are the same that caused Colombia to be more dangerous in years past.

|
Mononoke28 says on Apr 3, 2008, 13:20: Mexico has become incredibly dangerous. It's insane to see the amount of corruption and crime they're having due to all the cartels they have. And yet, Colombia is the one that gets all the bad rep while most gringos choose to go to Mexico on vacation instead. Beats me. Diana |
