tomtom33 says on Mar 13, 2008, 04:33: Hell, Dolfi, if the FARC were being pursued by Ecuador, as they claim, they would have been a legitimate target(in your view) of the Ecuadorans.

tasco66 says on Mar 13, 2008, 05:01: The Farc is using Ecuador as a base to launch terrorist attacks into Colombia. That makes their Ecuadorian base a legitimate target for Colombia. Bravo, Presidente Uribe for the perfect operation! |

jorgegdiaz says on Mar 13, 2008, 08:09: Everybody knows that public Unis in Lat Am are a ripe field for activists. The thing is they protest, they go, they "unmask the empire", and much more, but when they graduate they become another worker. Man with hole in pocket feel cocky all day. |

juancegomez says on Mar 13, 2008, 10:40: Evidently, the Colombian military and, by extension, state is responsible for their deaths, so there must be compensation.

de pronto says on Mar 14, 2008, 07:04: Tasco said "As for the 100 Mexican students they should be emprisoned for supporting a terrorist group" I dare say these guys weren't students, anyways being a student does not "permit" you to be a terrorist, therefore a terrorist should be prosecuted as a terrorist. ... y viaje a Macondo todo pagado |

billyb says on Mar 14, 2008, 09:04: diablo, Colombian troops are stretched thin, fighting a war on 4 fronts, all Ecuador needs to do is protect its sovereignity from the FARC.

diabloblas says on Mar 14, 2008, 14:42: ecuador has other borders to protect as well billyb...& it has a much smaller army...& a lot smaller subsidy from the states

billyb says on Mar 14, 2008, 14:51: diablo, take a deep breath, how did the US become the focus of this discussion? If some dumbfok mexicans decide they want to plat guerilleras in acountry that has nothing to do with them and they get their a$$es blown off, it's the US' fault? Jjajaj, that type of statement just devalues the rest of your argument.

cali373 says on Mar 17, 2008, 20:37: jorgegdiaz your response about activist is too simplistic for such a complex topic. Besides who said that you cannot be an activist and work? Are you implying that all activists are socialists? Because they are not. There are millions of activists in the U.S. and many of them hold a job. Besides in LAT AM there are lucky if even a job is waiting for them. Smile if you are a thinker! |
