Feliz Cumpleaños!
Considered to be one of the cleanest anywhere. There is no graffitis or trash, it is not dangerous, and the people riding it are extremely polite, this is called metro-culture.

Plus the mural of Mary at the Floresta station is breathtaking - I snapped a photo this past sunday and have already sketched the canvas. "World economic indicators point to a democrat winning 2008. It will surely be Obama. Not that the US president actually runs the US." Feb 5, 2008 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

zulmita says on Dec 1, 2005, 18:12: Congratulations!! I have always bein a huge fan of Medellin and his metro, even when there is ppl who says that is not the big deal, but if you take a look to the rest metros in the world, you find out that most of them (if not all) are dusty, or the stations are really nasty, so you have to go to Medellin to see that is true no matter if is in a good or bad neigborhood, is clean, nice and organized.

cali373 says on Dec 2, 2005, 06:17: I rode the Medellin Metro once and it is clean and nice. Even though people from Medallo are proud of it they admit the unfortunate part is that Medellin did not need the Metro at all. Medellin would have benefited some more on spending the money on mostly security or education. Someone got a nice kickback and they cannot blame Pablo Escobar for this one. Smile if you are a thinker! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

dwmte says on Dec 6, 2005, 08:36: i can remember the metro... when it was a rusting albatross of infinished projects from bello to envigado. it sat that way for near ten years. finally with a whole lotta help from the germans, it was completed and is, as all know, a wonderful, wellrun, mass transit system.
