Was just down having my regular evening swim at the 'dog beach' a few minutes from my place.
Something about the Spanish-not the most common language heard on Vancouver area beaches-as spoken by the Mother of the kids there clicked in my head so I asked "De donde de viene Señora"?
You know the rest.
Lovely people soon all her kids were clustered around the bench I was sitting on/asking questions/brushing off sand/being polite inquisitive individuals one was freezing from too much time in the North Pacific ocean.
Turns out she lives somewhere in Antioquia but for sure she lived most of her life on the Caribbean coast-that's the accent i recognised.
