and Happy New year (because I won't post another message in new year)
Oh and for those of you that are in Colombia now... que envidia. This is my first christmas in the US and I am so bored! :(
My family in law is the greatest (they are waitting for 12 to go to sleep because I told them we congratulate each other at that time, they ate my natilla and keep trying to make me happy), and my husband is the best that has ever happened in my life, but watching TV and eating after exchanging gifts is far from my idea of christmas
So those of you who are in colombia... enjoy it a little more for me :)

rocinante says on Dec 25, 2005, 04:48: Tradition in Colombia Christmas Eve in Colombia: At midnight, in the US, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse. In Colombia however, no one is sleeping, it's like New Years eve! Trying to get through on a phone call last night, midnight, was nearly impossible as the whole world who has family in Colombia was calling to say congratulations. But I made it through at 12:05. Whew! It was great to hear the Colombian hubub at midnight, great as they were passing around the phone, talking to entire family who were all celebrating with Ron (Medellin) and Aguardiente (Antioqueño)! Hopefully all here in the US who have family, loved ones in Colombia were on the phone chatting away at midnight last night. As they say it's the next best thing to being there. Silvia, I hear you when you say, "So those of you who are in colombia... enjoy it a little more for me....." Next year I will and I will think of the US and the rest of the world. Merry Christmas to all here, there and the whole world. "World economic indicators point to a democrat winning 2008. It will surely be Obama. Peso 1400 by November" Feb 5, 2008 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Then we came home and opened presents.
