Isn't June 1 a Sunday?

Robert Jorge says on May 27, 2008, 17:32:

Interesting.

Does the US consulate officially recommend using air travel to get to the hotel?

I actually would go if I was in the area, purely for entertainment value. Plus, they probably have a free buffet.

BEWARE of gold diggers.

Haha! Yes, June 1 is a Sunday, I didn't notice that one. But all I did was copy and paste the email.

A party at the American embassy in Cartagena... perfect!
Who brings the prepagos?
And after the party... all to LDV!

peteyw says on May 27, 2008, 17:55:

If the embassy letter reads "coffee will be served" that means no free buffet and its B.Y.O.P. (bring-your-own-prepago).

Free coffee in Colombia...ooh, what a treat! At 11 a.m. In hot and humid Cartagena.

I can't think of a place or time of day when I'd be less interested in a cup of coffee (and I like coffee). Sounds like they had a catering budget of ten dollars.

The Farc has a great plan. Get all the Americans in one place......for coffee. Historically, I think the Germans used this tactic once or twice.

Ray, LDV stands for La Dolce Vita. It is the whore bar where we got the four pre-teen last time we went together to Cartagena. Can't you remember? Johanna, Juliet, Jaira, and little Jenny.

By the way, Medoblado is back!

"Has anyone confirmed the meeting?"

The post is a legit email I received from them. I also even replyed to their email asking for minutes since I am curious as to what is discussed but can't make it since I don't live there. They replyed saying there wouldn't be any minutes but they intend to have similar meetings held in cities throughout Colombia in the coming months.

Are you sure that the second meeting will not be held in Puerto Colombia in Guainía?

OK, now I realize I should have checked when the date and day didn't match. My age is getting to me -- my analytical skills would have been better 5 years ago. Still, they should have printed a correction.
