meeting a girl in colombia

I have a friend that lives in bucaramanga where I want to spend my vacation. I met a girl online that I like very much so far but she is from medellin. I dont want to travel to both cities. I want her to meet me in bogota and then travel from there to bucaramanga with her. she agreed to this so how do I go about getting her a plane ticket? Do I have to send her money so she can buy it or can I buy an electronic ticket for her? I'm kind of hesitant about sending money becuase I have never met her so therefore I dont know her very well. I'm affraid if I send a couple hundred to her for a plane ticket she might just take the money and not show up.

Insuranse If you are looking for a long time realationship, it can be a cheap investment to send her the money.
If she dos not show up you will know that she is just a golddigger, and you will get out from it cheap!

Just a thought!

Plane tickets are a lot cheaper to buy in Colombia when travelling between Colombian cities. You really ought to consider going to Medellin - it's a fabulous city. How soon are you going? Maybe your relationship will have developed to the point that you know whether you can trust her or not. And look at the bright side, she's only asking you to pony up $250 unlike some guys on the site who are getting hit up for a $1000!

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

ok thanks for the advice. I'm sure medellin is a wonderful city and I would love to go there but I'm in no way an expierienced traveler. I have never left america and I dont speak any spanish. I know a girl in bucaramanga that I have personally met several times when she lived here in america. So I would feel much more comfortable traveling there and just staying in one place for my first time.

I think you are wise to wait until you have a guide to see Medellin. It is an amazing city, but I had an amazing guide. I wouldn't have had nearly any of the experiences I had on my own.

Why not suggest that you pay her back for the plane ticket when she arrives? Tell her it is too expensive to do a money transfer.

Wait and see... I will sugest you to wait until you go to Medellin and get to know madellin girls, then you might think it over and decide, there is a daily direct flight between Bucaramanga and Medellin RNG airport.

good idea daver but she doesnt have the money to buy a plane ticket so I will have to send her the money first. Are there direct flights between medellin and bucaramanga? I thought I had to go through bogota first.
