Medical Exam Question: Lab and Physical in one day?

My wife will have her medical exam in september.

Can she get the lab work done, and the physical exam done in one day? Our concern about Dr Consuelo is whether she works at a hospital or a small clinic. Hospitals take forever and can cause problems. I was hoping to hear about your experiences and recommendations for the medical exam in bogota. She lives in Cartagena, so we were hoping to get it done in one day b/c she can't get many days off from work at the hospital. Thanks!!

From what I've read about Dr. Jairo in Bogota, I'll have my wife go to Dr. Consuelo. My wife will graduate med school in December.

My wife did it in one day but you have to plan it well. Here is how she did it. The doctors take appointments. The lab doesn't. Make an appointment with one of the doctors late in the day. Go to the lab the day of the appointment with the doctor very early and get it done in the morning. If you get the lab done in the morning, they'll send it to the doctor that same day. If you have an appointment late in the day (say 4 pm), they will have the lab results.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Us, too. That's what we did, too. Go to the lab about an hour early to get a good place in line (i.e. towards the front). At the lab, early in means early out.

Also, if you show up early to the doctor's office, sometimes you can get your appointment moved up, depending on how busy they are that day.

The way we did it was Schedule an apointment with dr consuelo at 11am (that was the only she had), and that morning, very early, we went to the lab and had the medical exams done (remind her to dont eat brekfast before).

AFter the exams we had breakfast, wait for a while and then went to the drs office.

I had to go next day to pick up the sealed envelope, but it may take longer if you are missing any of the vaccination certificates or any exam, so just in case try to do it a couple days before the interview

My fiancee also did it the same day - mostly because the day after that was a holiday and the day after that was her interview! Its not hard to get it done - just plan it out and get the doctor's appointment scheduled ahead of time. Good luck
