Medical Exam for the K-1 visa

Hi everyone . . . I have a question about what I've heard about the medical exam for my fiancee . . . recently a friend of hers had her medical exam done for a spousal visa and she said that it as like going to the gynecologist - she said that she had to strip nude: no gown, no nothing and barefoot - poked, prodded, etc.
then she had to have an ob-gyn exam: but because she was on her monthly the doctor didn't check her out
her visa was approved though
- is the exam this thorough?
- if so, it seems to infringe upon certain individual rights, or is all that forfeited when going through the process?
- do you think her friend is exaggerating or lying?
thanks in advance for your input

Sounds like the doctor gave her a thorough "exam".

well they say it isnt true rona This is the experience of one of the girls who just had her visa approved on the 29th, this is the translation.
"Today I had the appointment with the Dr Consuelo, there they ask you the letter of the appoinment to the embassy, passport, vaccinations, form 156 (1) with the photo attached and 3 more photos. The form shouldnt be signed in because it must be signed in there, you are also supose to put your name behind of the pictures. The exam is very normal, they chekc your tension your knee reflex (reflejos), your throat, breathing, nothing weird"
so tell your fiance not to worry :)

thanks guys . . . the whole thing sounded kind of shady to me, so when she heard this she made the appointment with Dr. Maria Consuelo because she figured that if this is the case, she'd rather have a female examine her . . . it turned out that her friend did it with Dr. Jairo H. Roa and was freaked out by the experience . . . . I'll relay the info. to her and nevertheless I'll be with her for this final stage.

Maybe they go by different criteria Please know that I am not defending the doctor that did an extensive exam. My sister is a doctor and when I had a recent physical done she asked me a few questions like did my doctor check my skin? I was surprised cause I have had dozens of physicals in the last 30 years or so and no one has ever exmined my skin - (by the way its done for Melonoma especially in the back.) So, I understand that my sister does that test in the set of medical exams that she routinely does; perhaps this doctor includes a complete test of the applicants when he does their exams (for males it will involve checking the testis.)Hopefully, this is a legit doctor who checks a little more thoroughly than others. Good luck

Reminds me of the pervert cop in the movie "Wayne's World" who likes to give unsuspecting motorists full body searches on routine traffic stops. One of the things I can't figure out is why aren't there female proctologists? They'd probably do a helluva business. Guys who would never get their prostate checked would come in twice a year for it if there was an attractive female doctor slipping her fingers up the guy's tailpipe. That's how they get semen from bulls for artifical insemination - they shove a stimulator up his ass.
