Medellín, Memory and City

“Medellín, memoria y ciudad. Jorge Ivan Garcia is a young artist of drama and artist education professional that felt in love with his own city. This is nothing out of common, of course, if we consider that he is interested especially in those parts of Medellin traditionally featured is “zonas negras (black zones), but which belong to the early historical foundation of the city. Areas like “Barrio Triste (Sad Quarter), “Guayaquil, “Barrio Prado, “Lovaina, Bolivar and Berrio squares… places that no tourist would visit for his own initiative, but with a good guide would get a deep sense of meaning in the urban context, admiring things like history, stories, architecture.

The run has a duration of two hours, on foot, but it depends of the place and the interest of the visitor. There are also a show of pictures of the place visited with its development since 1890 until today. You can visit his group for any contact http://groups.msn.com/MEDELLINMEMORYANDCITY or just ask here.
