Medellin Update

I haven`t been in Medellin for half a year now but will fly back this Friday. Can anyone of you guys living there give me an update on how things are over there. -How is the security situation, the weather anything else I should know,...
I`ll stay in Copacabana and plan to go out in Bello from time to time. Is it still save there? Well, my Colombian friends told me that everything stayed the same and no problem, but maybe a second opinion helps...
