Medellin Rock Clubs ??? Little Tired of Electronic and Regatone

Theres one right accross from Parque Poblado. They have a projector and play heavy metal/rock videos. Not too many friendly people inside so don't expect much socializing.

Theres another bar that plays rock music on "la 80". Its right below the Metro at the "Florista" train stop. Not too many friendly people there either. I tried talking to a few people there and they acted weird. I don't understand, they dress gringo and listen to gringo music but they don't want to talk to gringos...lol.

Yeah, the place on La 80 had a band covering "Audioslave". I posted the video in the video section. I tried talking to them but maybe they were just shy. I do get obnoxious when I am drunk so I can understand if they did'nt want to talk.

WHERE THEY GOTHS? Most Goths and metal freaks I have met have had major chips on their shoulders, but not all. I just think it is part of their persona, 'F' the world all bitter and angry despite where in the world they live.

It is also this way in South Florida but I have met a couple really nice goth chicas (one who is now a dancer at Club O'Zone in South Miami (super hot) and another almost normal except for the big grim reaper tattoo. We all going there young and old, just a matter of time.

Is'nt that about 90% of gringos in Colombia? I could have been a talent scout from the U.S. for all they knew. I went there with my no-pago girlfriend. She thinks they all stupid for going to a bar that only plays music in English.

rock music isnt popular in UK anymore. Bands like oasis and the like killed it off after kurt cobain died. If you go into Europe..places like scandinavia and germany, you'll find rock is still alive. Many festivals and events going on there. In London, theres virtually nothing left of it. The original Marquee club and other famous rock venues are now closed and only a few are left.

Nirvana was good but they lead Rock and Metal in the wrong direction and caused it to eventually flop. The music industry kept looking for the next Nirvana until eventually the music flopped. MTV emasculated Rock/Metal and let rap music take over.
