I am the guy who posted about being robbed big time a couple of days ago in Medellin. Just to let you guys who showed interest in my case know that some guy found my documents and had the courtesy of calling me so I could pick them up (just to show my point that half the people in this city are kind and honest). What really made me angry is that my papers were found outside Mangos night club. Not having enough with all they got the bastards went on to party all night on me (to prove my point again that a lot of the people in Medellin are no more than pathetic scumbags)
So now I don’t have to worry about leaving the country because I have my cedula back (although with all my bank cards cancelled it will be some very miserable last few days)
Thank you everyone for your advice!
PS: Watch out when before you try to park your cars in your own garages, this rats come out of nowhere when you least expect it and if you go to a night club in Medellin be aware that at least half of the people are partying on dirty money, what a shame.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Panda says on Jan 14, 2008, 20:48: OK, I admit I took it too far. I guess I was very frustrated and kind of disapointed. Maybe it is the same here as everywhere else. The nasty people are a minority. I just happened to come accross a lot of jerks whenever I come to Medellin. Sorry to anyone who got offended.

Panda says on Jan 15, 2008, 05:28: That’s the Colombian attitude: Pretend that no matter whatever bad thing happens to you if you complain or feel distressed is not because the society in this country sucks big time but because you are like "quinciañera virgen a gritar por un simple robo."

Catfish35 says on Jan 15, 2008, 11:11: I can agree and respect Panda for his apology. I agree that if that happened to me I would be very outraged and quick to strike back also. I was addressing the generalizations that are constantly made that whole of people are bad. Does Colombia have cultural clicks? Sure I would be the first to admit that many times I become aggravated with things or how they work. But it is not my country ! Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
