We have put together a list of almost all the restaurants and bars in the Medellin Zona Rosa area also known as Parque Lleras. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
We have taken photos of all the restaurants and bars so that people who are traveling and / or new to the area can have a better eye on what to expect.
Of course most foreigners will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food in this upscale part of Medellin. There are a few Night Clubs in the area, but most of Parque Lleras has open air style restaurants, where you can dine and watch people walking by on the streets.
Please let us know what your have experienced dining in the Parque Lleras area.
Comments Please.

dwmte7 says on Jul 23, 2008, 14:22: ditto, peter. all those pricey places can't even produce decent fare. go up the hill along las palmas, there are countless estaderos that produce excellent food. many are totally colombian. and the places in llaeras hark like they have international cuisine...well , the jury's still out on that. and if you can't produce italian, french, american or japanese food. give it up. just go back to colombian lomo and some potatoes and a good salad. that's not too difficult. dwmte 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

dwmte7 says on Jul 24, 2008, 10:14: dan...go back down to the central park in front of the church, across oriental and the street on the south side i think it cl 11, walk down a couple of blocks towards exito and there's a great restaurant there, on the left. it's owned by the son of my ex land lord. (ask at the door if it's the restaurant of el hijo de alvaro vasco) nice ambience and good food. for me, i like going up the hill to the estaderos and eating there. there's probably some good estadero like places in sabaneta. too bad 'hunter' doesn't post anymore (you might pm him and ask for good eats in sabaneta) he probabaly knows the place better than anyone. dwmte 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
