Medellin over-rated as always

Fiesta Flowers Parade I suppose in 10 years past it was , of a pompous grand scale nature parade.

But now ,Fiesta Flowers parade , a bunch on drunks , watching a bunch of drunks on horses. All interferring with the city trafficand people having to work that day.
Interesting for about 20-30 minutes , annoying the city for 5-6 hours.

I find the Sunday shutdown of street for bikes , in Bogota , a more fun and social event.

LOL, not this post again! :-)

I'm not falling for it this time. No pics from me today. Dude, if you hate Medellin that much, why the self-punishment? There's plenty of other options. . .

Greg444, Those 3 days in Parque Lleras must have been rough. Just walk 2 blocks down to Parque Poblado. Its a lot better. Heres the Morphus guide to Medellin. I posted it in your other thread before it got deleted:
3 days is not enough in Medellin. The last time I was there I stayed for 2 months. I had good days and I bad days. Most days were good. I made a lot of friends without much effort. I would meet people in the strangest places. One night I was riding in a taxi in Envigado and was stopped at a light. A car ful of Colombian guys and girls pulled up next to me. They looked at me and I looked at them. So I just waved. They ended up inviting me out to party with them. Another night, I was eating chicharons in a hole in the wall restaurant in Poblado. I met a rich Colombian guy with his young wife. They introduced me to 2 girls they were with. They invited me back to a large beautiful house up in the hills of Poblado. We were all drinking to 8am. Another night, a waitress in Poblado invited me back to her house. Even hanging around Parque Lleras I had chicas hitting on me left and right. They were classy office worker types having lunch. I had high school girls contantly waving at me. I like Parque Poblado better than Lleras. Little by little I got to know everybody in the park. It takes a while. I ran accross a few snobby chicas here and there but thats normal anywhere. One girl told me "om notch yur American drem"..lol. We were hanging out with the same people. She did'nt like me at first but after she got to know me, even she was friendly with me and would give me a hug and kiss whenever she saw me.

I don't think its Medellin. Just Parque Lleras. Thats where he spends most of his time. I would be complaining too. There are other parks. Parque Periodistica and Parque Bolivar are much better...no snobby peso rich Colombianos.

If he did'nt get shot down by rich those Paisa girls, maybe he would have a better opinion. Maybe he's too scared to leave Parque Lleras and look for a poor girl.

Why not just go for hookers? They look the same as the regular girls. The regular Paisa girls you'll meet most likely won't be virgins anyway.

'Good ceviche in Parque Lleras?'

Probably, Lleras seemed alright for food. THere's a good fondu place.

Actually, I'll reply using morphus' reply, substituting the following words... nachos, Toronto, Mexicana.
