One guy told me , who went last year, "it is a bunch of drunken people, watching a bunch of drunks on horses"
"Abusing the poor horses as they travel miles and miles on hot pavement, carrying a drunk with a bottle of rum." Horses not used to going on pavement, let alone a few miles.
"Each year it has gotten worse and worse, not much of a spectacular event"

SUERTE GRINGO says on Jul 16, 2008, 14:02: I have asked fellow members on this board what is so great about the parade and for whatever reasons no one on PBH has been able to tell me what one should look forward to regarding any of the events scheduled during the festival. I could do without a bunch of drunks on the streets and hotels increasing rates for rooms during the festival, on top of increased airfare. “If you're gonna eat your crackers in bed, you're gonna have to sleep with crumbs." 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

david barkley says on Jul 16, 2008, 14:20: My friend also added eloquently, "I went down for a 10min look-see, hoping to see some bouncy silcone girls in usual bare mid-drift, tied up shirt, but just as in past few years, it was a bunch of drunks." "A sea of degradation, not much area to walk and follow, as the the road is blockaded from really walking along more then a block"
