ColombianoGringo says on Aug 31, 2007, 08:43: Getting married in Colombia will likely be a lot cheaper, but it can involve a lot of paperwork hassles. You will probably need at least a month or two to get your paperwork in order. If you use the Google search at the top of this page, you will find several topics on the requirements for getting married in Colombia. There is always the option of getting married on San Andres Island. You can also find posts relating to that.

vicshere says on Aug 31, 2007, 10:23: mike I agree with you...and if I could live with a woman that would be my choice......but getting married made it much more easier to live in Colombia although I know we could have lived here without being married...... but if your going to spring for a family wedding do it here you will save a bundle.....I did 5 years ago and still think you can save a bunch of money by marrying in Colombia listo 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

britz30 says on Aug 31, 2007, 14:28: I am getting married in October and found a farm house outside of Bucaramanga and EVERYTHING is included, food, tables, coverings for chairs/tables, flowers (roses), tuxedo, three houses and one chalet, car, alcohol, cake, someone comes and does my makeup and hair... It is only costing $1,500 USD and this is for three days and for 25 people. I saw the place and it is beautiful with a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor fire pit, spiral staircase in the chalet (honeymooners stay here). The only thing that stinks IS the paperwork involved, everything has to be translated and inventoried (property ownership here in USA and kids information) and Apostilled ($20 USD per page to have done). But Colombia is so beautiful, I am glad I am getting married there; it is so exotic and different. You will always remember it. Good luck!
