I can't find the info I need on previous posts. If an American marries a Colombian in a different country (say Venezuela), what paper work will be needed by the american when they move to Colombia? I am thinking I read it is much easier if married outside of Colombia. A friend told me they married in Venezuala, and then went back to Colombia and registered at the consulate with a minimum of paper work. I was told all you need to marry in Venezuela is your passport. Any input? The simpler the better!
Thanks so much! Maureen
