Hello again everyone. I am planning my trip now and will be living in either Cartagena or Barranquilla, but I am told that Manizales is very nice to visit. I have never been there so could anyone tell me what they think of Manizales and the area? Keeping in mind I am an Italian Girngo - jajajaja
Gracias amigos y amigas

shirly1981 says on Jul 5, 2005, 02:13: MMMMM...... The mountains are so beautiful, Manizales has amazing views but if you want to have summer party go to Barranquilla, Santa Marta or Cartagena, beaches, sun, beers, reggaee, clubes and everything a coastal city can offer you. Of course it depends on what you want 'cause if you prefer cold than hot so go to Manizales. Ok Good luck......... Sophia 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Sunsetsrbest says on Jul 5, 2005, 04:29: shirly1981... I will be living in Cartagena or Barranquilla, so this will be a place for me to go to get a break. So for the things you speak of will be the norm, Manizales will be one of many breaks from the norm ;-)

cali373 says on Jul 5, 2005, 12:42: Manizales is an Amazing City with Amazing inhabitants. For being Colombia it is one of the safer cities. Go to Termales (hot springs) and Nevado del Ruiz (Volcano). Tour guides can be found in the city center in front of the Cathedral at 7 a.m. So you would have to spend the night before nearby. The woman are nice and beautiful and I find that people in the area are generally more fair skinned than most Italians I know and I live in New Jersey. It can get pretty Cold during the night and it is a very hilly city Smile if you are a thinker! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Sunsetsrbest says on Jul 6, 2005, 14:47: Cali373 Great advice and thanks alot. I will definately keep this in mind when I travel there... would you say it is safer and more gringo-friendly than even cartagena? And I am sure you are coreect about the women- to be honest I have not found a place in south america yet that doesn't have a ridiculous amount of beautiful women. Pretty women is important, but so is education and loyalty, so I am more inclined to ask if the women there tend to be more loyal and educated than in places like cartagena? After all they have something like 7 or more universities in manizales- yes???
