There's already lots of stuff out there, one Oriental guy Blogs and is making $500K or more per year, the Travel&Expat website, Escapeartist.com is doing great. Others take Customer service calls from major companies via the internet, others work with google. In the last 6 months, Good Morning America has had 2-3 segments already talking about just that sort of home based web Business. The Info is already out there, you only need to data mine for suits your fancy.

You better know you have a valuable product or service before you spend money developing and hosting your own website. The costs are tremendous and the time investment in a successful website is most likely well over 50 hours a week.

If you are in Colombia bilingual with a girlfriend or wife who has family and are not opposed to network marketing then Herbalife may be something to consider. I am from Salt Lake City where Herballife comes out of and know that I can get equally good product cheaper from other sources. But that is true about all network marketed products for the most part. I also know that the warm selling to friends and family that is absolutely necessary turns me and my friends and family off. But I think Herbalife is in it's infancy in Colombia and that is geneally where big money can be made. The product is not bad, just potentially overpriced in some markets where alternatives are readilly available, There are alot of unmet needs for the types of products they offer in Colombia. So as distasteful as network marketing is for me, I do consider Herballife as a very pretty business choice with tremendous potential in South America. Purely speculative, and this is merely my perception having network marketed in the past and after attending a Herbalife sales presentation in Medellin recently. I would not have attended had I known enough spanish to be able to understand what this promotion dinner was really about. It is a legitamite company with legitamite products and seems to become more and more difficult to make money as the market gets saturated with representatives.

You could create a cheap functional website and sell Nike knockoffs throughout South America. The nike shoes on this site for a $10,000 order will cost you about $30 each and there will be about $1500 worth of shipping and customs insurance. Maybe set up a recieving/distribution office in Panama free Zone. Ship personal orders from website sales from Pamama throughout South America and ship larger orders into Colombia where you can distribute them to retailers. Just pay the street kids in every major city to distribute cards advertising your website at stop lights. You have to use discretion obviously, but it is obvious that most everything on the shelf in stores in Colombia are poor quality knockoffs. And a real pair of Nikes is going to cost you well over $100.

There is no easy money! Internet business is costly! very high risk! and very time consuming!

Once upon a time it was easier to make a living on the internet, now it is harder than offline in many ways. More competiton. The key is always to get the traffic. For that you either need a lot of money for PPC search engines, and google adwords or a very active site with loads of fresh content. Content that takes time to collect and present. I have clients who spend $20k USD a month on google adwords to drive traffic to their site. A very expensive proposition if the traffic doesn't convert to sales. As for network marketing, the numbers are in the vacinity of 1 / 1000 make a very good living from it. I have a friend who makes about $25k a month from it. Very much the exception.

A good deal of people think they are going to throw up a webpage for 500 bucks and sit back and collect ten grand USD a month. Those days are over.

Today there is a large cash outlay that does not guarantee in any way that you will make money and if you are there making good coin there is no guarantee that you will continue. Slippery slopes.

Not to mention the ulcer of not knowing if your site/plan is going to die from obsoletion the next month.

I can tell you from experience that 99% of home start up "kits" don't work and are designed to take your money. There are a few that are legit. These consist of things like getting fake flowers in bulk and making arrangements and mailing them to people and printing flyers, etc and mailing them to people but you have to do so many a day to make anything. I had at least 3 websites that didn't even break even. Then I became an importer and sold things on ebay. I made a killing for a few years then people see what you are doing and sell the same thing you are at slightly above what you buy them for. Do people know that you have to mark things up to make money? Things are tough right now.
I dabbled in the bootleg market but it's risky. If customs find it, they keep it. Your money is gone. At least in the USA not sure about Colombia.
Maybe sell those Niggaz Jeans I read about the other day on here. lol
