Maid recommendation in Medellin (Sept 1-14)

All, I will be in Medellin from Sept 1-14th and have rented a 3br apartment in Poblado for the time. I need a maid that will come by in the mornings to clean up the place and cook breakfast for 4 folks. I'm guessing each day will be 2 hours -- plus we'd like if she went shopping for the groceries.

If you live there or know someone that is dependable and trustworthy, please let me know. Preferences for a hot paisa! Thx in advance!

Usually the hot ones won´t clean and they´re usually not trustworthy and will take advantage of your drooling over her. (Remember the Seinfeld naked cleaning lady episode?) Go for a señora who will have good gusto with the food and won´t complain about cleaning your filth and do a good job too. Save the hotties for going out with.

As for pay, $15000 for 4 hours a day is probably about right as she may have to take a bus or 2 each way. $20000 would be generous. I would pay any extra hours at around $3000 per hour. They usually get a meal a day included as well such as making a little extra food for themselves when cooking for you and your guests. Any costs such as cab fare to/from supermarket or any other errands for you would be picked up by you. All cleaning supplies must be provided by you.

I have some trustworthy señoras who would be glad to have the work. You can contact me at spigrimace at yahoo.com with the dates, hours you want them there and address and I´ll call some of the señoras.

As spigrimace said, just get a Senora that actually knows what hte hell she is doing. You will being living in a dust-free environment,will be eating like Kings and for CHEAP...unlike if you try to find some hottie to do the same job.

It would be better to take that part of the post out...about the hot paisa. Man the city is full of those, don't waste your time trying to put one to work!

The "lovemedellin website" is a piece of crap made by some moron who has only been to Medellin once...you'd be better off reading the Lonely Planet advice from a guy who never even came here!
