Luggage form Medellín to Europe

My wife and I are flying to Medellín from Germany in February 2008 using Air France via Paris. On the way back we would like to take some extra luggage with us to Europe. Air France are charging 30 € for each kilo more than the free 20 kg per person that is included in the fare.

Can anybody give me an advice about the best way to take about 30 kg of stuff (shoes, clothes, decoration for the house) from Medellín to Europe for less than 30 Euros a Kilo?

Dolfi the trick is to WEAR as much of your luggage as you can. Make sure you keep a foldable or plastic bag in your handluggage bag. When you get thorough security, you can put some of your things into this bag. This way, your check in baggage will weigh less and cost you less.

Good advice, gringolondinense, but Mrs. Gator is the only living person I know that can wear three pair of shoes. Also, at least with Avianca and COPA, when you pass security you main luggage is already checked in. "Dolfi the trick is to WEAR as much of your luggage as you can." Also we have noticed when you wear luggage you tend to attract attention.

Seriously his advice is good.

Ahhhhhh..the question men the world over dread the most!

"does this make my butt look big?"

"no honey - your butt does that all by itself".

You'd think two ex-wives would be enough to teach me never to answer that question honestly.

Before you throw me out, make sure I pay my bar tab

Thanks for the comments, but that doesn´t really help me. I thought more about some trustworthy company in Medellín that does international transports.
