Los incestuosos

When I read PBSH about Colombia it's like listening to Garrison Keillor talk about the mythical Lake Wobegone on Prairie Home Companion. Everything is wholesome and good and no one does anything bad - it's the best place in the world! I guess I am the only one (along with Elmo) who regularly gets exposed to the seedy reality of Colombian life. Actually I prefer the real Colombia even with its shortcomings to the fantasy world experienced by the PBSH posters. I guess I'm just sick that way.

My wife's dead husband had a bunch of brothers and sisters and one of them was married to his aunt. I asked my wife how that was possible and here is what happened. The grandfather of the family had children with his wife and he had always been a bit of a mujeriego so late in life after his children had grown up and had children of their own, he took up with a woman and had several children with her. They were the half-siblings of his legitimate children. One of them was a beauty and one of his grandchildren fell in love with her and married her. In this way he was able to marry his own aunt - ok, half-aunt. They have children which are also his neices and nephews and her grand neices and nephews.

Anybody else have stories about love kindled at family gatherings?

Los incestuosos Although not within the family, my wifes first pregnancy was from the result of some slime ball using a date rape drug to get into her pants. I sometimes wonder if her behavior at times isn't as a result of being subjected to that drug. The puke knows he has fathered a child. He has not and continues to not provide any support..... for his son. Has no remorse whatsoever........ He refused to have his name on the birth certificate.... That's cool, with a few bucks of grease money the boy now has my name.

Morph, Morph, Morph, I'm a grown man, dude. I'll go out and about without her but my wife doesn't try to sugar coat anything either. It sounds like you're saying that I can't experience the real Colombia in her company but I assure you that's possible. She knows more hooker stories than I do. And back in the day she partied with the mafiosos and their princesses. I may even be able to get her into cuchicheos one day.

I must admit, Southern, that if I had a aunt who was hot and my age I'd probably be busy trying to get into her pants. Then again I'm the gringo costeno so what do you expect?

Come on... Diomede Diaz Diomede Diaz is a repellent human being and he should have been murdered by his "friend" Jorge 40 back in '97... He is free to have his life, but his notoriety and huge number of fans speak by themselves about the ignorance of people. Not meaning things are much different about people in US or Europe, tough.

Well, the only way you can experience the real Colombia is to go there and live. Before you leave for Colombia, take all your money out of the bank and set it on fire. Then work a 12 hour a day job in Colombia making 800,000 pesos a month. Thats real Colombia!

robbii! so true about Diaz - what a piece of shit of a human being. Is he out of jail? I remember he raped and murdured some poor girl or something.

As for hte thread... I've reported several incestuous episodes I have seen here. My favorite thread was in the "spanish only" section. All sorts of colombians were talking about how they lost their virginity to their own cousins, most of them being double their own age. I know plenty of people here that have kids within their own families. A lot of the people I know supposedly know who their father is, unfortunately most are wrong.

Father's Day is perhaps the biggest joke there is in Colombia.

Yes, Bufalo, he raped and killed a girl and hid her body and escaped. Thanks to Colombian fair judicial system, el malparido is out of prison after paying 10 months of 5 stars prison and making concert again... of course for rich colombianos and gringos like Elmodefoque who can spend 50mil for a ticket, tirandosela de corronchos... :-)
He was going to be murdered by the AUC, by Hernan Giraldo, a padrino with a sense of justice, in his way, but got protected at last by Rodrigo Tovar Pupo. Good for him, bad for us.
But I would not be surprised if he gets killed soon... if the girl was my daughter sure I would have put a bullet in his brain myself.
Of course is an icon, but wherever else in the world would be treated as an idiot.
Anyway, a pretty example and a perfect way to give a good image of Colombia.

Ironic coming from 'utopia'cowboy I think it's more that people prefer to share their good experiences than their bad experiences.

When I pass dead guys on the street I don't feel the urge to create a thread about it, even if those dead guys happen to be right outside the apartment I'm staying at, and are gangland assassinations...

Many times MURDER is the Colombian Justice System at work. Years ago I read similar stories on the internet

The troubling part of the similar story was the fact the priest was shot in broad daylight in the town square. Actually he was shot in the head, the town square is where it happened.

Colombia is mostly Catholic and a priest being murdered was a big negative. Especially because I was only English speaking person living, and hoping to stay that way, within 50 miles.

I asked and was told he was having sex with young boys and he’d picked the wrong person. I’d advise staying away from that kind of action.

hmmm.... all this reminds me of when i first started doing the genealogy of the canadian side of the family. i mentioned to another researcher of canada that i found that 3-4 branches looped back to the same family. the brothers and sisters all married different people, and down the line, it looped back in again. he said that that was nothing, he was working on someone's genealogy, and he said that there were 4 generations of first cousins of the same family marrying. personally, i think that that's playing a little too fast and loose with the genetic dice, but then again, it did go a long way to explaining canadians... lol

Diomedes y Ivan Villazon Ivan gets great material to record and hires great musicians for his sessions. I like his music.

Yet Diomedes is the Elvis of vallenato. He knows it, too, so perhaps that's why he's got 'tude and you guys take issue with that. I'm sure he is not too worried about it.

I am sure he is not TOO worried about it ;)
