Looks Like El Feliz will be landing for the first time in Bogota, soon.

Any cheap hotels, that are in the safe part of town?
Any clubs, in Bogota, that I shouldn't miss?
Where is Rubito playing? (so I can avoid him)
What side of Bogota is safe? (Hey! GIB, R U there???!)
Hey, how 'bout I fly in a day early (before my girl) and GIB take me for a Flash-Rush-Tour of the most dangerous parts of Bogota? I've been hittin the weights hard; I'll dress like a Biker. (What happened to that other guy who took this approach? "BAD WRECKS", WHERE ART THOU?)
What's the BEST RESTAURANT in Bogota? (World Cuisine, of course! Because we all know Colombia has NO CUISINE.)
Are most of the chiquitas in Bogota light/white, cold, and intellectual? (Shit! What fun! Trying to change that!) (Hey Maria! How 'bout a night at the tanning salon; I'll bring some tabasco and cervezas; leave el librios at home tonight)

Should I avoid the taxi's? HOW? WHICH ONES?

Are you kidding? I'M TAKING A SHITLOAD OF FAKE $100 BILLS TO THROW AT THE TAXI STAND AS I LEAVE THE FREAKIN AIRPORT! (Photos to follow, en PBsH!) Any help? Miamimike? Hollywood?

Do I have to make a day trip to Villevacencio? (Kat, warn them ahead of time: El Feliz está viniendo)
Can I take JOROPO Dancing lessons, there?
(I don't think I want to; sorry)

Hey Colombia_Mike; time to come out of the mountain border towns and get intellectualized in Bogota.

... a great time fast, in Bogota!

El Feliz Are you really going to Bogota? Please let me know when so I can send a filming crew. I would like to roll a documentary of your visit.
While you visiting ColUmbia be sure you visit McDonald's and Taco Bell and do take some Joropo lessons just case you feel threatened by anyone, so you can show your fast steps, Colombians respect the footwork!
Don't take the yellow taxis they charge pesos, do bring your own tabasco sauce and your own recycled chips and do not bring your own cell phone girls can track you easily.

Please do not go out at night unless you have a date with a pastusa and go out during the day only between 12:00 and 1:00 P.M.

I agree with you Colombia has no cuisine. However if you feel like trying one of our favorite colombian dishes, try the colombichenet soup the one that webmanco posted for several days here on pbh.
I am pretty sure many people saw it and and visitors would love to try it while in vacation in Columbia.

I think that was the only pretty picture I have seen of Colombian dishes on pbh.

Lucas Freley says on May 10, 2007, 13:35:

El Feliz you should go to Colombia Club... the best restaurant in Bogota. Ah, let me tell you that is the best, because the owner is Monpirri's friend. You can go to the Parque de la 93, there is plenty of "gomelos" there. And Zona Rosa and the Candelaria are fine too. And of course Monserrate.

But the best reason to go to Bogota, is that you can PM to Lauthra and manage a meet-up with her. I recommend this.

For sure, GIB, as well.

It's going to be another fast trip, for me. But, a guy's got to come up for air, at least once in three or four days' time, so...if anyone is up for a few brews...I'm buying.

I can still stop a soccer ball on a dime; if I see a soccer field full of colombian kids playing, I am going to go garner a lil respect for 'El gringo viejo'.... very little. Those 4-yr-olds will make my head spin, with those steps.

MacGringo..."two-way gold plated tooter"..... How 'bout very simplemente a brand new 1,000 peso bill'? and,...
'stung with a dose of escopolamina already'... I know what that is like: It's like spending 3 days in Park 10 Hotel, con mi novia, without coming up/out for air! (Not that baaaaad!) :)

morph: bipolar freak? I don't have to put up with that ANYMORE. "She's gone...she's gone...It'd take the devil to replace her..." Morph, I think you're feeling a void, because the 14-yr-olds in Bogota have morals, and won't hang out with you 'Old Men'.

CK..."especially when you go into Taco Bell..." Don't they have Jack-In-The-Box in Bogota??? (that video would be funny in spanish, mornpirri) JIB has good tacos (in Houston); Taco Bell? You mean I gotta 'head for the border' with Colombia_Mike_de_Valledupar?

mornpirri..."I do not care what they say about you ElFeliz you are all right!!!" Are 'they' saying something about me somewhere that I don't even go? damn; 'they' are bothered by themselves.

Webmanco, I'm still confused. What is the pretty colorful photo about? restaurant? dance club? otro?

I'm going to La Bella Antioquía and Monserrate... just because a few true PBH'ers have recommended it (if she'll let me outta the room).

Of course, I'm taking her with me.

_______

But, who gives a flyin fuck?

Kat1:...."Feliz ;) feeling better now? :))" no sientos, por favor, Kat1; when I work...I play! and, what food do they have in that restaurant?
