Conexión Colombia is the alliance of a group of the some of the most important private companies with the collaboration of several public entities in order to create the most reliable and efficient channel through where all Colombians abroad, people in the country and friends of the country can help the nation.

The promoters of this initiative are : Revista Semana, Compartamos con Colombia (NGO), USAID, IOM, VISA, Money Gram, DHL, Caracol Radio, Caracol TV, Leo Burnett Colombia, Terra, Precidencia de la Republica, Davivienda, Telecom y Aviatur.

The main purpose of this web site is to offer a site where people can go and help chosen foundations of different orientation ( childs, nutrition, migration, health, education, etc).you can help with money, time (in many different ways), or ain other different ways.

All the funds collected are under the control of Price Water House Coopers, so the money will be audit to ensure that it is been well used.

Here is just another way to help, all the people who writes here all the time saying how much they love their should start putting that love in to real actions.

These is clean, honest, and will benefit a lot of people through very serious organizations.

Good find! Thanks Camilo! I turned your post into an article (I edited a little bit).

The reason for turning it into a story was: a story like this is valuable beyond just discussion in the talkzone - it will stay relevant for a long time. I'd like to move towards a situation where we use the talkzone for general discussion, questions and such, and post more well crafted or informational stories as a story... Suggestions and feedback welcome!
