PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
I've looked through all these postings and various websites but find it hard to come across a house or apartment for sale in the Macarena area... Ideally I am looking for a house that needs some work to then transform into apartments. Even if it's just a lot that I can build on. I found a 1500sq ft lot for 180'000'000!!! Isn't that insane? is that really what property goes for?

miamimike says on Sep 11, 2007, 05:17: Was the Sellar aware you were a Foreigner? If so, that may account for the $$$$$$ Price. Why not maintain your identity thru a 3rd party buyer like an Attorney? Send a Colombian down to the property and see if he is quoted the Same price as a comparison Test. I priced a Surgical procedure recently in Colombia and due my being an American, the price difference was close to 33% higher compared to what a Colombian Citizen pays. Think again if you think there are not Two price standards,,, "Wait a minute. What did you just say? You're predicting $4-a-gallon gas? That's interesting. I hadn't heard that." -- Feb. 28, 2008 --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Maojaimes says on Sep 11, 2007, 09:07: Well, For sure that's not a real price. A plot of land for more than 1 million COP m2 is totally out of focus in my opinion. Just keep looking for other things and be well informed. The most complete guide about Colombia real estate 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Morrongo says on Sep 11, 2007, 15:10: look on websites for banks here...Davivienda, AV Villas, Bancolombia. Here there sell lotes repro. It will give you a good idea of prices per m2 , prices will differ depending on locations, but will give you ball park figures. Also Banco Popular post repros at there bigger branches.Buying privately, it does not matter too much if you show your face, of course they might push up the price seeing an exteranjero, work out your price ..minus it and negociate from there. This take it or leave approach, will find you reasonable buys.
