You can locate all of them in maporama, just type Colombia and Cali and you'll get street map with all the barrios clearly indicated.

Bretaña, El Bosque and the Andes are all so-called popular barrios, strata 3 or 2. Comfenalco I have no idea except that it's in the East and there are no barrios above strata 3 there. What this means in practice is that due to deficient street lights, plenty of unemployed people and much poverty make these barrios unsafe especially during nightime.

Contrary to the exagerations of the above post Floraria is a atrata 2 barrio and is quite safe day or night. Being strata 2 does not make a barrio inherently dangerous unless you´re refering to getting hit by a car or moto.

After all survived all the tumultous periods periods over here in the good ol US of A since the 60's, inclusive of the Oklahoma bombing, 911, and the Washington DC sniper. Ohh if you ever have to do this don't count on the website to review the status of your passport processing . . .even the Government people tell you it's no good. Call up and check the status. It's kinda funny how we can take simple things such as maps for granted over here. Believe me I was searching the internet. Thanx's Derek! Will just take it in stride as I am the adventurous type. Been in a couple hotspots in the world. I'm still here . . .not necessarily in one piece . . . but here nonetheless. I'll keep your advice in mind . . .probably do the "scarecrow" tactic . . . if I get hit .. run around and pick up the pieces and just "stuff" them back in wherever the fit. Thanks for the clarification and insight either way . . it helps getting a different perspective.
