Hi,
I am new to Colombia with my daugther, who is fourteen. We both speak English, French, and some other languages. (Her native languages are English and French; mine is English). I am in a job where I need to understand Spanish perfectly, but scarcely never need to speak it, which means that I read the paper, any Spanish novel or book I want, but never practice speaking. She can read simple books in Spanish (like Tin-Tin), communicate basically with people, but needs to get up to an acceptable native fluency over the next six months. (She's attending school in English now, and they don't offer Spanish classes.) Anybody know of any good language schools, tutors, or ways to improve our Spanish in our area of town? There don't seem to be any Spanish language schools around here (we live just off the park) and we seem to be plateauing in our Spanish language progress..
Thanks for any suggestions.
