Looking for advice on places to stay in Barranquilla

Hello,
I just joined poorbuthappy and this is my first post. I am planning a trip to Barranquilla in July, and I am looking for information on places to stay. I would appreciate any information on hotels or an apartment for rent on a weekly basis. I will be visiting Barranquilla July 2nd through August 1st.

Thanks for your help.

Hotel Majestic, Barranquilla! Found this wonderful hotel in the Lonely Planet Guide to Colombia. Very reasonable in price about U.S.$35.00 per night which includes breakfast. The hotel and it's staff are very nice. Has a nice swimming pool and is walking distance to the El Prado district.

No Response I tried contacting the American Golf and the Majestic both by e-mail and by going to their websites and niether one ever responded. I guess I'll just see who wants to make some damn money when I get there!
