Buy a Mazda 323 built in Colombia cheapish on spares no timing belt to snap (chain) bags of room round the engine if you need to work on them plus there are 1000's of them,wish I still had mine .Only one problem a little low better if they have raised springs at the back as the tank is prone to damage.

Whenever you buy a used car in Colombia be absolutely sure to make the owner take it for a peritaje which is the equivilant of a US Triple A exam. I have had peritaje done on four cars. One, a 2006 Mazda 2600 double cabina was really cherie until they checked the body panels and looked underneath. Every sinle panel had been repaired and the frame was badly bent. Before the peritaje the guy wouldn´t even negotiate the price. After it I wasn´t interested.
