London To Cali - cheap flights

To those who do not wish to travel to Cali via Miami route even if it is cheaper than going oin the Madrid route.

If you book around 5 weeks before departure, you will find the cost from London to Cali:

via Miami - would be around £500 - £550
via Madrid - would be around £700 unfortunately.

If you book the flight - from London Gatwick to Madrid (and return) with http://www.easyjet.co.uk and also book the flight from Madrid to Cali (and return) with Iberia airline, you might be surprise how cheap it will be!!!

I checked for the 22/04 (outward) - 06/05 (return)

£599.92 EVEN WITH SPECIAL OFFER with expedia.co.uk London to Cali (return) with Iberia

BUT

ONLY £395.00 with expedia.co.uk Madrid to Cali (return) with iberia AND
£53.96 on the easyJet - TOTAL AROUND £450

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the future, do check only Madrid-Cali and easyJet, in case of cheaper flights....

Make sure you have enough time to change the planes .........

I do not want to go on the Miami route ever again !!!!!!

I usually go through http://www.aircomet.com/ it´s coming up as 81 euros from Madrid to Bogota for the dates you gave me!, might be a mistake but get it booked and see what happens. 241 Euros with tax

Life is like a ten-speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use.

They are much cheaper than me, but it doesn't travel to Cali, unfortunately :(((

JumboBond007 says on Mar 17, 2008, 15:19:

It doesn't make any difference.... I looked at BOGOTA-CALI (return) with Avanica.com in addition to your comet.com .. the prices are almost the same

so i would fly to caracas and then get an internal flight from there to be honest or take a bus like a did from ipiales - cali - manizales - bogota - santa marta - caracas. they have really good prices but only fly to rio, salvador, caracas, buenos aires, havana o cancun, maybe bogota.......

i just bought my one way ticket this way online so by the time you convert 230 euros into pounds its even better.

oh and aircomet is for the cheap connecting flight from madrid to london and if booked through aireuropa a spanish airline a month at least its a great option.

Juanes.... you can book with easyJet.co.uk - the cheapest

Does easyjet go to Barajas (sp?) airport? I thought the budget airlines went to out of the way airports.

If you fly via Caracas you will have to pay the entry/exit fees, a friend of mine got caught like that.

Juanes says on Mar 19, 2008, 07:20:

ok jumbo cheers ears...where do they fly exactly to in locombia

yo recuerdo que me no he pagago una tarifa para salir el aeropuerto caracas en agosto 2007..........

guess i was lucky...i remember something about that but there was none extra than me 230 euros that i paid online when i came to checck in 3 months later. i did keep 50 isnt it great that the dollar is so low for us europeans but i spent that on wine in the duty free and some tacky souvenirs......can you believe they took my wine from me when i landed in madrid and said i couldnt take it through to the connecting flight......que pena

hi gringo perdido, thats a hell of a long trip mate...my flatmate just got back from there to london with thai airways, i believe you can use a russian airline too possible called aeroflot which is cheap. the main thing is to travel east i would suggest instead of west via australia/nz/fiji......

Bangkok - London - Madrid/Miami/NY - Bogota/medellin

about 24 hours of flying at least, try easyjet or aireuropa for europe to colombia flight and thai/singapore airlines maybe for the other leg.

Make sure you check rules about luggage before you travel especially on easyjey, ryananir, etc. They might not accept heavy luggage or charge extra for it.

When you plan to travel, try to shop around for the cheapest fare so that you save £££ $$$.

MADRID is the best European airport going to Colombia/Peru etc, so it is a good idea to check with EASYJET to fly into Madrid rather than book for one airlines to go there via Madrid.

Without EASYJET, the Miami route is always cheaper, but you will get headache with security !!!

Lostgringo says on Mar 24, 2008, 09:37:

Thanks guys for that info. I tried both sites and nothing going to Colombia.
