So I have read several posts regarding where to stay in general while in Manizales. My husband and I will be visiting in January during the fair, and so far my cousin (who lives there) is telling me all the hotels are outrageous during this time. The most reasonable she is telling me she can find (and I mean in an area that is safe, and the accomodations are not amazing, but decent) Is $120 USD/night. I can stay at a pretty decent hotel here in the U.S. for that amount.
Does anybody have any ideas on where to stay during the fair at a reasonable price? I will try the colombian cupid guy tomorrow (yes, Dick Dickerman) and hopefully he doesn't exploit people during the fair, but any other suggestions would be a blessing.

And if you abrogate those rights, you'll hear about it very quickly.” 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

If you really want to go to the feria you should take whatever hotel room you can find at this point because you won't find anything at any price soon.

Alejita says on Nov 6, 2009, 13:24: theflatline, thanks for your message. I don't have the hotel name. I trust my cousin though, she has lived in Manizales her whole life, and she knows we want something bueno bonito y barato. As for the Love Motels mi madre would disown me if I stayed in one, he he. So I rather stay downtown. Aleja 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
