The best part of this video is when she described the moment the hostages realized it was a rescue. She said that after reluctantly getting into the helicopter and taking off, she heard a commotion and then saw the farc jailer "Cesar" on the floor, bound blindfolded and naked. Then the crew told the hostages that they were really military and that it was a rescue.

Tolemaida is a military base in El Tolima. The rescued hostages were taken there and are currently participating in a press conference.

However, the Caracol feed on CNN states that they are at Catam air base in Bogota.

I would like to know what the Ingrid haters are going to say now!

I am so happy with this great news, I have been by her side before she got kidnapped, when I was reading her book, I had 3 pages left when my son heard or her the tragic news!.
I am happy, because she look great, she is strong, she will recuperate, and be with her children.
She will write may more great books, and I will be reading then all!.

Huskie: ppss, que tiene que ver usa con esta historia? (perdona mi ignorancia)

Monpirri says on Jul 2, 2008, 16:15:

I liked Ingrid Betancourt's speech. She said thank you to God, Colombian military, the media and France, but she did not mention anything about the US perhaps she does not know that the US was also playing a major role but in a very discreet way.
Without disrespect to all the members on pbh from other friendly countries,
I would like to say God Bless Colombia and the USA.

She surprisingly stated that she was glad that Uribe became president instead of her because he has been so good for the country. Additionally, she expressed her support for the first reelection although she has not agreed with all of Uribe's policies.
