LIFE IN COLOMBIA

My dream is to live in Colombia! but Iam wondering about the employment for Americans. Does or has anyone worked in Colombia that are US citizens? How difficult is it to work and find a job?...Please advise!

It's either:

- retired and have a pension
- own property/business in the states that gives you an income BUT lets you live far off.
- teacher BUT accepting it won't pay/last long
- a job that lets you work remotely
- mercenary
- work for the embassy or big oil company
- or your own business (advice: if it's open YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE)

- forgot about being a pimp too.

Strange as it might seem-it would be a big help if we know what the hell you can do??

Most of us just tie our burros to a palm tree, pull our sombreros down to keep keep the sun out and wait for fruit to fall in our lap. Our women just braid hair on the beach-all in all a quiet existence.

The family is in the bar business but there is no way I'd be allowed to come on board as a partner. The bar business is a little different than the typical bar in the U.S.,, actually,, more than a little different,, more like a strip club that rents rooms by the half hour.

Just toooo much temptation,, I'd WOULD be there day and night,, well not real early.
