Hi Englishhunk. Here at PBH we have some guides about studying Spanish in different places. I created a list of some good choises here, but, if you really wish to have contact with people really talking more than street Spanish, the USC could be the first one on the list:

1. Universidad Santiago de Cali- USC- is the fist possibility.
Here is the link(the info is in Spanish):

This is a format to fill and it goes directly with the director of the program. Well, hopefully.

2.Universidad Javeriana Cali-

METHODOLOGY

The Functional Spanish for Foreigners Program works towards proficiency in the language skills within a cultural and linguistic Colombian framework. The program emphasizes day to day situations through exercises and activities which use the language as a functional method of communication. These situations meet the course´s objective, which is the development of personal expression so vital to interaction with people in the hispanic world.

STANDARD PROGRAM

Levels offered 3 (two stages each)

Length 64 hours per level

2 months per stage

Intensity
2 hours daily
8 hours weekly
Tuesday to Friday

Beginning Dates
The first Tuesday of every month

Requirements
- Placement test or previous level certification
- Student visa
- Health insurance
- Photocopy of health insurance guide

OUTINGS

The program offers guided outings. These outings provide direct contact with the culture, help students to learn the languages, and create new experiences for them. Optional trips to other parts of the country are also offered.

FREE TIME

Students can enjoy artistic shows, special events, art exhibits, and a video club. They may also register in all the workshops which are offered in the Cultural Sector of the Javeriana University. Among these are painting, ceramics, silver and gold work, batik, glass, and plasticine. There is also a gym for students and aerobic classes are directed by experienced instructors. All workshops and activities are available at no additional cost.

Students staying six or more months are invited to join any of the university sports teams, the university choir and/or the various theatre, dance and music groups.

UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE CREDITS

Students can take courses or seminars from the academic majors offered by the University. To take these courses students need previous acceptance from the Language Department and from the directors of the different majors. These are official courses. Most of them are valid for 3 (three) university credits.

AIRPORT PICK - UP IN CALI

Javeriana University offers airport pick - up at the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón airport. Hours of pick -up are from 8 AM to 5 PM daily. A one week advance notice of complete flight itinerary is required in order to meet your flight.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

At the end of each course the University will give each participant an E.F.E. diploma specifying the hours taken

Also: both universities could allow you a registration as a student with a visa for the time the course.
