ok I think I have metamorphosed into a chibchombiano and having never tasted the delights of the antioquian way of life my bias is with el valle and Cali having lived here for 8 years, so whats your opinion of both these cities ( Medellin y Cali) that battle for the accolade of second place behind Bogota. I have many many anecdotes as you can well imagine but would love to hear paisas opinions here in cali, entonces CALI O MEDELLIN. I have heard rumours that officials trawl the streets in medellin and send down and outs to cali¿? from my experience here many taxistas are from medellin, and are the girls whiter and more european looking up there ? Yo no se !

la campiña (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jun 9, 2009, 14:07: Nooooooooooo not women, but culture, architecture, safety, fun, art, theater, HOWEVER I never turned this comment into smut, it was the others ha, I have never visited medellin so my honest and pure question still stands, are they similar, elevation, climate, mountains, culture etc for example cali is awash with salsa, so if anything what has medellin got to show off to the world. guesthouse, dragonflycali, huge house with swimming pool, safe, quiet area minutes from restaurants, bars, boutiques, clubs.Private ensuite rooms, free laundry, internet, wifi, local calls, sat TV room, chill area with hammock, dart board, bbq,Paul 3165544187 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mononoke28 says on Jun 9, 2009, 15:14: Well, it depends on who you ask really. I lived in Cali when I was very little and remembered very little until I visited a few years ago. But I was born in Medellín and currently own an apartment there so of course I will choose it over Cali. I feel like the people are warmer, there are more things to do, better transportation, it's cleaner, better weather, etc. I just felt like Cali was way too hot, too dirty and with not as much to do as in Medellín. la campiña (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jun 9, 2009, 15:28: ha thanks, many people say medellin is cleaner and more organised but maybe I like the rumba here in cali however it would be better if cali was more user friendly if you know what I mean, and as for tulua uph I lived in buga 8 years ago and visited tulua many times and found it hot chaotic and a little menacing, peligroso, You are right though there is not much to do in cali, but for people of a certain age and disposition cali is a great place to pass through and enjoy the night life. guesthouse, dragonflycali, huge house with swimming pool, safe, quiet area minutes from restaurants, bars, boutiques, clubs.Private ensuite rooms, free laundry, internet, wifi, local calls, sat TV room, chill area with hammock, dart board, bbq,Paul 3165544187 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
