I am interested in checking out some nice nightlife in the La 70 area of Medellin. Anyone who has experience in this section of Medellin, what are yout thoughts? Do you have any recommendation, kool places to hang out, maybe a bit older crowd say late 20-40. Paeque Lleras was seemingly fully of teenagers last time was there and the music sucked, bad and way too loud in some establishments. I would like a nice, down to earth type bar. Got to put up with the smoke, I understand. Something I like about USA? Banned smoking just about everywhere in the interior.

coffee beaner says on Nov 16, 2007, 20:13: Best spots in La 70 are Oro Solido, Bongo and El Templo Del Vallenato, but usually all the places around there are full of people Fridays and Saturdays, also Obelisco is pretty close to La 70 and is usually packed on weekends.
