One thing that always sticks in my mind in those long evenings on the veranda is the rather distinctive warbling sound one of the birds makes. Everyone calls it the Kurakaku (sp?) because of the noise but I was wondering if anyone knew what the proper name of the bird was?

I usually hear 3 kinds of owls round about. I have more than 30 species of birds that call my finca home Mr. Bill Somondoco 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Cockney Colombian says on Aug 25, 2007, 06:48: The noise of the night can be so enchanting, the kurakaku, the crickets song, the frogs in the undergrowth, the occasional dog bark, and very distant the sound of music, someone somewhere listens to cumbia 24/7.
