King of Spain visits Medellin

After Bush's brief 6 hour visit to Bogota and the less evident three day visit of Germany's president last week, the spanish King will visit Medellin from friday until sunday to inaugurate the XIII Congress of Spanish Academies, a meeting to discuss the future and current situation of the spanish language all over the world. There are about 400 different events throughout the city ranging from poetry readings to academic dissertations about the spanish language.
Hotels are at a 95% occupation rate.
On Sunday the King will fly to Cartagena where the IV International Congress of Spanish will also take place.
