Since the theme is set on gayness I'll go ahead and just say Maroon 5 is def. Gay. John Mayer = Gayer.

What is real gay though is Jimbo saying he cannot think of a anything he wouldn't "blow off" for a Metallica show.

Oh and Metallica after the "..And Justice for All" album is pretty much gay too. Plus after I watched some kind of Monster, it just ruined it for me. They suck. Hey Lars go and file another suit against Napster so you can buy a gold plated Ferrarri you Danish gaylord.

I agree with Rocco. Metallica fans these days were too young to remember them when they were good, or really old metal heads. Their documentary ruined it for me too. The band therapist. The original fans packed up and moved on a long time ago.

Mayer is a talented guitar player and is coming into his own.

Coldplay is a good poppy band. But I am not a fan. They make me feel all YELLOW and gay. They are like U2 after they top 40 bandy with the Joshua Tree. Everything was great up through Under a Blood Red Sky, before Bono appointed himself the second coming, the Irish Jay-Sus. The Edge is still cool though.

Depeche Mode is great, they still jam, and they actually grew with their music. It is true you hear the Mode in gay bars, but in the 1980s and the 1990s Depeche was a great way to dance with a lady and get her cookies.

Maroon 5 lead singer gets props for kissing Kelly Preston. Otherwise just a another pop band.

Bands always play their best in venues under a 1000, you get the personal show.

marly- i think that marroone and john mayer are great i was just kidding about their gayness. did you find anyone in your class that knew about metallica? from my travels there i have found most guajiros are like elmodefoque- sort of closed minded to new things.

I was told by a friend that the 99 metallica concert was one of the biggest paid concerts in colombian history. over 100.000 people.

marly,

well my take on the killers got me yelled at by stocktrader. I think they are a good band, they were getting pretty big for awhile in the states, but never really took off, but got huge in europe and other parts of the world. That is where the record companies promote you when you are on the cusp of being a big band and not quite getting there in the US.

I like them, they have fun and know how to rock. Which is becoming lost because of all these new bands who grew up listening to REM and U2 and becoming all poppy emotional. There was a great rift in the music galaxy when Michael Stipe dated Morrisey and that let to the gay emo plague which has been infecting rock for decades now.

I do admire your love and protection of Metallica, but there is a time to stop. It ruins the image they created back in the early days. They went from writing great jams, partying and living the metal lifestyle, to hiring a professional counselor to talk about validating their "feelings" on TV. I really want to punch Lars Ulrich in his face. He should retire and keep playing tennis.

Same with the Rolling Stones, I LOVE the stones. BUT I refuse to go see some 70 year old grey beard limp around on stage. Not only that, but there are NO good stones albums in the last mmm what 20 years or so? Finally they want to charge people like $200 for the worst seats in the house!! For what an antique show?
