Probably an error. Normally she gets the packet and you may or may not get a notification yourself. I would either send her the packet or send someone to the embassy to get a replacement.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Look up the e-mail address for the US embassy and tell them to send another one. I did this because my fiancee moved and she recieved it in a week or two. But the new tenants of her old place delivered her the original packet also, how nice! Let me know if you can't find the address.

hello everyone, firts and foremost i love the site it is filled with info, although i wish some was more specific; i tahnk you all this is a nice show of fellowship. my case and questions are the following, i have receive the letter from the national visa center after my application was approved (longest waiting time in california go figure) so they say she will be contacted by the embassy shortly after and she will recceive a packet with information and forms, then after returning this she will be given another packet and an appointment. my questions are:
Does anyone have an specific example of the wait time from the date on the visa center letter to her receiving of the packet. mine is dated 8/9.
Does anyone know from the date of her returning the forms what is the time of wait for the appointment?
Also i heard many numbers of packets like number four and number one, is there how many packets, the visa i am waiting for is the k1.
Do the documents asked for have to be emmited within a certain time frame IE no more than a month before turning them in or would it be prudent to tell her to go get them now?
for any responses i thank you all sincerelly un colombianito agringado que espera ansiosamente a su colombianita
